Industrial Eye Candy

I've always been a fan of the industrial stuff. My boy Bryce, has really mastered his skills when it comes to the industrial furniture. I like that the "looks" continue to change and challenge his imagination. The table above and below is one of my favorites. The base, which is an old piece of machinery, is the perfect match with the table top. Below are a few more pictures of some sweet industrial stuff!

Fall Eye Candy!

Today it has felt more like Fall here at Country Roads. One of the cooler days we've had in some time and it reminds me that the cooler days and colors of Fall or just around the corner, we really hope!

Even though the flowers above aren't "real" the do have wonderful color on them.

I love this time of year when we can decorate our porches, yards and houses with pumpkins and all the good stuff that goes with it. If you haven't been in Country Roads lately, I put together a little slide show for you. If you should happen to see something that catches your eye, give us a call here at the store, 1-714-532-3041. A Little This, A Little That!

My favorite saying about Country Roads is "always your favorite, never the same"! There is so much variety to choose from, that it's hard to leave empty handed. Here's some pixs of a little of this and a little of that!

We've got lots of awesome lighting in the store right now and all the holiday merchandise is beginning to trickle in. Halloween is everywhere and Christmas is making it's appearance as well. Stop by and see us and our many different looks!!

Vintage Halloween

One of my favorite things in my house is the old green stepback cupboard in the picture above. It has great color and everything about it has always made it a favorite of mine. I keep all my vintage jack 'o lanterns in this cupboard.  We have had an exceptionally HOT couple of months here in sunny SoCal. There other day I deciding to put together some little vignettes around my house to remind myself  that cooler days are around the corner! 

I love the "pumpkin" sticks above. I don't know the botanical name for them, but I've always love when I see them at Trader Joe's. It is a reminder that all the things I love about Fall are just around the corner. The pumpkin sticks stay fresh for quite awhile if you change the water and have great color as well . Right now at Country Roads we have a lot of holiday merchandise in. And that includes Christmas as well. Unfortunately, we don't get many of the old jack 'o lanterns in anymore. They've gotten harder and harder to find. I hope you all have a great day and stop by and see us soon!

Simple

Sometimes as I walk through Country Roads, it is the simple things, the simple vignettes and displays that say the most. Here are a few of my favorites from Sunday.

   

Since way back on that January morning in 1993, my goal was always to have a store, not just any store, but one that would bring happiness to others the same way it had for me. And as the sign says above, Country Roads is a happy place because it is truly our "way of life". Have a great week!!

Come Sit a Spell

What I love best about Country Roads is all the old wood and novelty siding that was used for the build out. Back in the early days, almost 20 years ago, a friend of mine, Tim, was able to get old historic wood. Many of you know the floors in the first building were from the old Laguna Beach boardwalk. The porches are my favorite. Debbie Watts makes you feel like you are "home" with her over the top displays.

No matter what the weather is outside, on the inside of Country Roads you feel like you are at home!  I hope some of you will stop by today and enjoy that feeling of home here at our favorite place!

Country Roads "Hot" Eye Candy

It is kind of hard to believe, but I'm not complaining, but we've been really busy during this lovely extended heat wave of ours.  We all just want to sincerely "thank you" for stopping by to see us. This morning I just wanted to post a few pictures of things I had a few minutes to take pictures of. I've always, and probably always will, be a big fan of folk art and old signs. The sign above I absolutely love! The old writing and arrow are great. Here are a few more things that caught my eye!

White Wednesday

It is beginning to feel and look  a lot like Fall at my store, Country Roads! I'm hoping and looking forward to cooler days ahead. We get spoiled living here in SoCal! We get our ocean breezes and the summer heat usually isn't too brutal. That was until August of this year. I'm not sure "what" happened but enough is enough and I'm sure there are many of you that would agree with me! Today, I'm linking up with Kathleen over at Faded Charm for "White Wednesday". These wonderful cloth pumpkins that Cynthia makes are flying out of the store! Seriously. She makes them both in white and off white and they make a wonderful addition to your Fall decorating.  Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a great week ahead!
