Almost Time For a New Year!

Well, here we are, only a one more day of 2013 left! I don't have a clue how this exactly happened. The year flew by so fast for me, and there were so many things that I wanted to do but never quite found the time!  My hopes are that I can not only blog more in 2014, but find the time to share with all of you what wonderful things my Country Roads family continues to bring into the store daily! Here are just a very small grouping of some pictures I had time to take the other day.

Believe me, these pictures are a very, very small selection of what we have here at Country Roads. There is so much more great stuff, you need to come in and see for yourself. With all of that said, I'm hoping to see many of you on New Years day.  Country Roads will be hosting a really big sale that you won't want to miss. Again, Happy New Year to you all and a big heartfelt thank you for continuing to shop with us as we begin our 22nd year in business. You guys are the best!!

Happy Holidays!

Well, it's crunch time before that magical day, Christmas, arrives! I wanted to share some of the the "stuff" we have at Country Roads right now. You never know, it may be that special present you've been looking for!

Country Roads will be open Christmas Eve day until 4pm and closed on Christmas day. We are, however, having our really, really, really BIG sale on New Years Day from 10am - 5pm! A lot of great stuff at good prices. This is one of our best sales of the years that you won't want to miss. So, with all of that said, "Merry Christmas" to your family from mine. Take care.

Vet's Flea Market

My boy Bryce is selling at Vet's Flea Market today. If you happen to be shopping there, be sure to stop by and take a look at some of his cool "stuff"!

And of course after you've been to Vet's, be sure to head south to Country Roads! I have a feeling it's going to be a good day with that big ole full moon we had last night!!

Our Iowa Friends!

Our friends and dealers here at Country Roads, Shawn & Jennie, moved back to Iowa almost a year ago or so. They find some great stuff to say the least. They come out here to sunny SoCal once a month, or close to it, and sell at the Rose Bowl. Then they bring in the rest of their stuff to Country Roads, where they have a space. Below are a few pictures of what just arrived!

For some reason, I fell in love with the piece above. I think it came off a windmill or one of those "things" that usually is out in the fields on farms. Okay, I'm not sure but I was born and raised out here in sunny SoCal so I'm not real familiar with stuff you find a farm! I hope you all have some time to stop by and shop with us. We've got some great vintage "stuff" that would make really sweet Christmas gifts! I hope to see you soon at my favorite store, Country Roads!

It's Beginning to Feel Like Christmas

I've been dragging the past days, and ended up getting a tad sick this week. The one perk was that I got an extra day off since I haven't been feeling good! So, with some extra time, I made the decision to get Christmas up in the house. I had gone last night with Brande to get our Christmas trees, so why not finish the tree and the house today while I had time?  Each year I buy one new Christmas piece from Country Roads. This year it was the one above, made by my friend, Debbie Watts. I'm sure many of you know her as she is one our very talented dealers here at Country Roads! And below are a few more pictures of my favorite Christmas memories in my home. . .

I've got to tell you, out of all my Christmas stuff I've had over the years . . . these little hand prints of my kids when they were small mean the most to me!  I remember those days like they were yesterday!! And although I miss those days at times, I am now blessed to have four beautiful little grandkids, so my heart is full. Wishing you all the happiest of holidays! Take care. . .

Industrial Eye Candy

I know not everyone is a big fan of the industrial stuff. But I've got to tell you, there are many pieces of it, styles, and vignettes of industrial merchandise that I absolutely love. Actually, I have a few pieces mixed in my home that go great with my primitives. Here are some more pictures, courtesy of my son Bryce's area here at Country Roads. . .

It is pretty amazing that Thanksgiving is just a week away! As many of you know, Country Roads only closes three days out of the year, and Thanksgiving is one of those days. Even though my family all works together, it still will be nice to spend time together relaxing and enjoying each other outside of CR. And of course, I've got four grandbabies that I will be spending time with as well. Life doesn't get much better than that! Also, you may want to mark your calendars. We've got a big sale planned for the three days after Thanksgiving. It would be a good time to shop "small businesses" and find a one of a kind gift this holiday season! Take care my friends. . .
