Chapman University Film Festival

My friend Mike, who publishes the Plaza Review, asked if I would let everyone know about the "FREE" black & white film festival that Chapman University is hosting here in historic Old Towne Orange! All the information on the films is listed below. Also, if you are NOT familiar with the Plaza Review, just click on the link and I'm hoping you soon will be. I usually write an article or two for it, as do others. But what I love the best about this little newspaper is this. It is all about GOOD news!! I think we get enough of the "regular" news as is! Also, before I let you read all about the black and white films, don't forget about my "giveaway"! You have until Monday, when Riley will do the drawing. One entry for leaving a comment on any of the blog posts till then. Two entries if you become a new follower, and lastly three entries if you write a sentence or two about how you "give back" in life. Now, go read about the awesome films you can see, for FREE!!!

That looks like it would be such a wonderful festival to attend - wish I could!

How I give back: I tutor a spanish-speaking adult in reading and writing English once a week. We have been together for a year and a half and many of the times we are together, I feel like I am the one who benefits most from our sessions!

Did you see that two of my all time favorite 25 movies was on the film festival list? Young Frankenstein and The Last Picture Show. You MUST go see The Last Picture Show. It was filmed where I was raised about people I was raised with! Want to see where Malaysia went wrong? Check it out!

In my younger days, I used to stay up into the wee hours watching old black and white movies. Now that's when movie stars were really STARS!

I love that the Plaza Review is all good news. I've been thinking about a blog about only good things. Not sure if one exists. Do you know?
