The Morning After

Today I am off from working at Country Roads. Although, I have to say, when you are self employed, you are never truly off. Paperwork is always calling your name. We had an extremely busy week-end again, and please know that we appreciate each of you that shopped with us. I fell in love yesterday. When it comes to architectural elements, my heart always skips a beat. This is a killer architectural piece that Darcy just brought in. It SO wants to come home with me. Below are just a few more of my friend Darcy's stuff.

The one thing I absolutely love about Darcy's stuff is that it's always, without a doubt, shop ready. Meaning it is clean, it is priced and it is always displayed in a way that makes you want to bring it all home with you!  I hope you all have a great  day!

Ruffles & Rust

For many of you that shop at Country Roads, you know it is an old 1919 warehouse type building with a lot of old wood, some rust, and other architectural elements. That's why I love it so much. It's the contrast of styles and decorating. And its always changing with fresh merchandise and new displays. These pictures are from Loretta, Full Bloom Cottage.

Ruffles and rust? That what makes up a big part of my favorite store, Country Roads. Have a wonderful week-end and I hope you find some time to stop by and not only see all of our ruffles and rust, but Johnnye Merle Gardens and Nursery.  It's a great nursery and garden out back of the store that is filled with plants for your Spring garden and some great antiques as well!

White Wednesday Vignettes

Happy White Wednesday from myself and my favorite little vignettes, at my favorite store, Country Roads! Okay, I'm a little prejudiced, but even though it's my store, I still really think my CR family does a great job of bringing in the best of the best. Here are a few of my favorite vignettes!

I thought on this "White Wednesday" I would include these two white dogs that were sitting in a white Range Rover in front of the store.  Every time someone would walk by, they would start barking at them. I think they wanted a bit of attention. Please take a few minutes to go visit one of my favorite people, Kathleen, over on her blog Faded Charm Cottage.  Kathleen is the one that brings us all together each week for "White Wednesday". Have a great week.

The Alameda Flea Market

Today Bryce,  Shawn and Jenny are selling at the Alameda Flea Market in Northern CA. This flea market is one of the best in the state and one of these days, I'm headed up North to join my boy Bryce! What's nice about these displays is that Shawn and Bryce blend their things together for a great look. Excuse the shadows, the sun is shining off the bay and these are all the "iPhone" edition. Here you go.

My feet are still aching this morning from yesterday. To say we were "busy" wouldn't even begin to describe our day. I hope to see many more of you today. Our summer like temperatures here is SoCal are absolutely awesome! Come on down and enjoy that sunshine, great shopping and of course, Country Roads. .  . "always your favorite, never the same"!

The Colors of Spring

March 1st, seriously? How did that happen?? It seems like just yesterday we were putting away all the Christmas decorations and bringing in our brand new year. If any of you know how to slow down the time a bit, please by all means let me know. Since today is the first day of March, and Spring is sneaking up on us, I thought I would post some of our "Springie" things we have here at Country Roads!

I have to admit, I do love this time of year, although today it is pretty cold for our normal sunny SoCal! Stop on by and pay us a visit and enjoy our many looks of Spring here at Country Roads!
