Our Gardens Are Lookin' Good!

Usually we don't get a lot of rain in Southern CA, and we have needed it for the past few years. I believe this year we have made up for the lack of it. But I have to say, since we've had so much rain, we're having a beautiful Spring. Everything at Johnnye Merle's Gardens (named after my Mom), is in full bloom. Our flower beds are overflowing with color, so any chance I get, I try to sneak away from the counter and head to the garden. These pictures are of an area in the garden that has just been added. I LOVE all the garden elements out here and I thought I would share a few of them today!

For some reason, I LOVE the cement head that has been knocked off its shoulders and just lies there waiting for better days. I must say, that should be our "poster child" for "BSC" Sundays! That is exactly how you feel. And a special thanks to John for putting together such an awesome looking area in our gardens! It looks fabulous!

White Wednesday

Once again, it's time for "White Wednesday". I posted a few photos this past Sunday of "John of Cottage White" goodies he brought back from his recent trip to Texas. Here are a few more below, hope you enjoy them.

Believe me there is some good looking "eye candy" in this part of the store right now. And for those of you that live in the area, John is taking some more space in the garden where I'm sure we'll find some more "White Wednesday" treasures. Speaking of that, please go visit my favorite "WW" buddy, Kathleen who created "White Wednedays"! There are so many wonderful blogs and pictures to see. Hope you all enjoy this "White Wednesday" and see you next week, take care.

The Last of the "Texas" Stuff

I've been off for a few days. Bryce was ever so kind to take some pictures for me. John, as in Cottage White" just brought his stuff in that he picked up at the shows in Texas. I can't wait to go to work this morning to get a good look at some of the architectural stuff and outdoor chairs. Those are the things I love, and those are also the things I don't need. I already have too much of both! I'm always amazed at how piles of "stuff" in our back driveway behind the store can suddenly look so damn good once it gets "inside" the store. As I said, these are only a few of the pictures of what John brought back with him. I've been off for a few days, and I know very, very well that each and every day at Country Roads there is something new to be found!! Speaking of that, go check out Johnnye Merle's Garden blog! Some great heirloom tomatoe plants and more have just arrived! Check back tomorrow morning, I'll have some pictures of what's new and exciting at Country Roads!!

Extreme Cottage White Makeover!

I'm sure many of you know and remember when I did my post last year on John Morrow of Cottage White. His store had been in Sunset Beach for years, and I was so excited to have him join our Country Roads family. Of course, myself being an "architectural freak", I drooled as they put together his new area of the store. These are KILLER architectural pieces, and thankfully at least I get to visit them each time I work!
I saw John over this past week-end and he told me he was going to TOTALLY redo his space. When Bryce sent me these photos below yesterday, I knew he wasn't kidding!

These pictures were taken of John's stuff out in the driveway behind the store. It is a mixture of some of the new, exciting things going IN the store, and some of the exciting things going OUT of the store. Unfortunately, you will have to check back to see the finished project. And speaking of "checking back on my blog", I just want to say "thank you" to each of you that take time out of your day to read my words. I sincerely appreciate it. Take care!

The Boys!

Tim and Bryce, "the boys" have been at it again! This past week they built out a new dealer space for John, of Cottage White, who is moving from Sunset Beach to Country Roads. There is a bit of an age difference between "the boys" but their brains and creative energy run along the same frequency!Basically, they took an area that was merely floor and walls, and by using John's architectural elements started turning it into a really awesome looking space for John!Tim's creativity is endless and Bryce seems to be following in those same footsteps. Whether they are out in the hot desert digging for treasures, or helping someone in the store, the energy level always runs on high when the boys team up! Here are some more photos of the Cottage White project.

Be sure to check back so you can see the great vintage pieces that John has brought into Country Roads. And who knows, I may have another post of new creative project the boys dreamed up! I can't wait!!
