Happy Halloween!

Today is the best day ever, especially if you are a kid! Above is a picture of my kids back in 1989 on Halloween!  For me, it is just such a fun night to be with your family and kids. Below are some Halloween pictures from last year. We had such a good time!

 It's funny how much the kids change. We always go over to Katie's for Halloween. She bought my parents house after they died. It was the house I grew up in. So it is really fun to take my little grandkids "trick or treating" on the same streets that I spent my Halloween's on! I hope you all have a great Halloween!

Fresh Off The Truck!

Shawn and Jenny just got home from a buying trip.  They don't buy from the shows and places that a lot of others shop at.  They have great contacts and know where to buy!  They get not only great, awesome stuff, but they get it at great prices as well. I only had time for a few quick pictures before we closed today. And these are only a few of things fresh off the truck!

This cool bar table that has glass on it with four bar stools sold almost immediately after Shawn brought it in off the trailer! The round bar, which you can see above, had a nice piece of old glass on it and different bar stools than those in the picture. The customer took the glass and the stools home with him as soon as he bought it. The best part, Shawn and Jenny have even more to bring in. And another really good perk about Shawn & Jenny's stuff is that it is ALL very reasonable priced. Check back later this week, I'll have some more pictures up! And if you see something you like in any of these pictures, I wouldn't wait to buy it. I would strongly recommend coming on in soon, before it sells!

I Love These Vignettes

These little vignettes are courtesy of Sue Lennon. There is just something about her style and displays that I love. She puts together all different kinds of things that end up totally going together to make a great look! Here are a few pictures below to let you see what I'm talking about.

I am personally in love with this hanging lamp. Don't ask me why, because I don't know. There is just something so unique about it that it keeps calling my name.  I can visualize it hanging in my home office. I haven't been able to talk myself into buying it yet. I keep hoping it will sell, and I will no longer have to lust after it! If you are nearby this week-end, stop in and see us. You know Country Roads, "always your favorite, never the same"!

CR Eye Candy

Even though Country Roads is my store, I do have to say what I absolutely LOVE about it is that we have such of variety of stuff. And most of this "stuff" is displayed in really creative ways. There isn't a day that goes by that there isn't a new vignette somewhere in the store! Here's a sample of our eye candy below.

For those of you that don't live in the area, if I get all my homework done and to my web guy, "Country Roads Online" should be up and running within a month. And what does that mean? White Wednesday at Country Roads

Here we are on another White Wednesday, and here I have some more pictures from my store, Country Roads. I really do love what I do, and the best part is that things are always changing at Country Roads. What we always say is about CR is, "always your favorite, never the same"! Below are a few more pictures to show you exactly what I mean.

One of my favorite combinations is old rust and chippy white. There is just something about those things that call my name. What I'm really enjoying about Kathleen's posts lately is that she is featuring a new blog each week. I don't know about you, but I love to stumble across a new blog and see what they are all about. Vintage Storage

I know I'm not alone when I talk about having too much stuff or needing things to store my stuff in. Rather than go out to Ikea or some container store, sometimes vintage stuff works a whole lot better. Plus, I think you get an added bonus of investing in vintage versus something brand new.
