Before my friend Ruthie moved back to Florida, she had named my backyard, "Club Med Long Beach"! Since I haven't been able to go to Maui for the last few years, you know Maui, my favorite place ever, I spend a lot of time in this little "resort" in back yard! I'm able to step out of the slider from my bedroom, and enter my own little piece of paradise. The chair on the right is my rocking chair, and the lounge on the left is where my dog, "Sally the Cabana Dog" lounges! This past winter though, with the rain and wind, it has REALLY taken on my little private piece of paradise!
The bar needs just a bit of work and some cleaning!
The deck and "cocktail" area look like a hurricane might have stopped in for a visit.
Surfboards were tossed around during this past winter, and the poor umbrella on the left is now only a wire frame! And hey, that was one of my favorite Corona umbrellas!!
On the other side of the pool, I lost a palm tree this year. Not sure why, it just croaked.
When you are in this business of junkin, you decorate everywhere, even behind the pool, which also needs a bit of tidying up.
I'm anticipating after all of the clean up I have waiting for me, I will probably need one of those shots of tequilla. I'll also be looking for a new cabana boy this summer. I was thinking that good lookin' Texas boy Casey, from American Idol, might make some nice eye candy this summer here at my little Club Med Long Beach!
