Ten years ago today, I remember as if it was yesterday. As I do every morning, I had just woke up a bit after 6am and turned on the news. The first plane had already hit the first Tower. I was confused, I didn't understand. Then I watched in horror as the second plane hit the remaining Tower. I still didn't understand, and honestly, I still don't understand today. I don't believe in violence. I believe in peace and love and all that "hippie" stuff of my generation. I do sadly remember our entire world changed that day. It would never, ever be the same. Terrorism wasn't a word as I grew up but sadly it is a common word today as my grandbabies grow up! Today I think of John Lennon. A talented artist that believed in peace and love that sadly died by an act of violence! Peace is a simple word. To my grandbabies, I dedicate the words of this song to you!
Imagine
Imagine there's no Heaven
Its easy if your try
No hell below us
Above us only blue sky
Imagine all people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill for or to die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Today, take a moment to remember all those that have lost their lives to allow us to live in peace!

This song has been put in Brooklyns head since he was in my tummy.
We listened to it every night on headphones and then we he was born it was on his lullaby music to sleep to. the Jack Johnson version
Today is a hard day, but hopefully our children will learn that peace is the way to live.
Peace on this most somber day
Amy
It's true, until that tragic day, I only thought terrorism happened in other countries. But now, our children are growing up in this time where terrorism happened here, on American soil, and it will forever be apart of our lives. I have never really listened to the words of this song, but they are so fitting for today and everyday!
Bless all on this day of remembrance.
Sincerely,
Melinda
