Day Two Of Our Really Big Sale!

Today is day two of our really big three day sale. I don't even know what to say about yesterday. All of you that came out and shopped, even in the rain, were just amazing! We were unbelievably busy and I am truly grateful for each and everyone of you. Because I need to get ready to leave in a few minutes to go back to the store, I thought I would just share some more pictures of my favorite place, Country Roads! 

So, off I go to "the store" with tired legs & feet but a very big smile on my face and a happy heart. All of you that shop with us are truly amazing customers. Thank you so very much and I hope to see you again today!

Open, Open, Open!!!

In just a few hours, Country Roads will OPEN for our big President's Week-end three day sale! And, we are ready at 10am for you!! We got all the sales signs up last night, so I hope you are all as ready as we are. This is also an event that many other stores in Old Towne Orange participate in. Those of you that are familiar and are a fan of Lori Gutierrez's artwork, pictured above, she will be at Country Roads this morning.  Lori will be here around 10am to do a "little painting" if you would like to meet her and see how truly talented she is. Right now her mermaid art is very, very popular. Also, outside the store in the back, Johnnye Merle's Garden & Nursery is having a sale on all plants, including the really awesome plants from Annie's Annuals! The Annie's sweet peas are flying out of the garden, and not from the wind! For more information on JM Gardens, click HERE! I am always so amazed at the talent my Country Roads family has. Pretty in Pink Pat!

I've been doing a lot of whining about "time" lately. And this blog post is the perfect illustration. All these lovely things belong to one of the nicest people in this entire world of ours! Seriously. I've known Pat Fillipi for a very long time, and I have to tell you, there are very few times you will see her without a smile on her face. She is just the best of the best! And the reason I'm whining about "time" again is because I could only capture a few photos of one of her three spaces here at Country Roads. I hope by taking a glance at these pictures, you will know that sooner or later I will make it to Pat's other two spaces to share some more (to use Pat's favorite word) "fabulous" photos with you!! I do hope you enjoy these.

What is so amazing to me is that Pat's linens, baby dresses and more are all freshly washed and ironed. Her displays are beautiful and usually the majority of her price tags are secured with a little pink ribbon, Pat's signature color. I hope those of you that live nearby will stop by over this President's Week-end. All of Old Towne Orange is celebrating with an event we call, "The Antique Affair"! Most of my Country Roads family has some great percentages off on their merchandise. If there is something you've been lusting after, this is the week-end to go for it! Hope to see you this week-end. It's All About the Bed!

I've been having a bit of a problem lately. It has to do with my time and ability to take some really good pictures of all the great displays we have here at Country Roads. My problem? We have been too busy for me to break away from the counter and relax & take pictures of some of the beautiful displays that Country Roads is full of. Eileen, one of our sweetest dealers ever, decided awhile back to do a complete make over with her large space. And what she found out, what pulled everything together, was having a bed as the focal point of her displays. I can't even tell you how many beds she has sold since she began making it all about the bed!!

These pictures don't really do all of her little vignettes justice. Everything she has displayed is totally over the top beautiful! Did you notice all the awesome chandeliers? And they are wired and ready to take home. Eileen also has a case full of small treasures that are just elegant. Some of her perfume bottles are truly unique. And I'm going to do my best to try and make the time to capture some of the great vignettes and displays we have here at Country Roads. I guess I just need to get up even earlier to start my days. By the way, looking for something to do over the three day holiday over President's week-end? Country Road is having a really BIG sale along with many of the other stores in Old Towne Orange. White Wednesday

I imagine many of you have seen enough of the cold "white" snow to hold you over for a bit. Being spoiled, and living in Southern CA, about the only white I see, is that of the white, sandy beaches nearby. I'm not quite sure I could handle living in the really cold temperatures that many of you have been enduring recently! On this "White Wednesday" I decided to share the many different shades of "white" that are sprinkled throughout Country Roads!

We've been really busy this year and I so grateful for that. When I take a moment to look at all the great merchandise we have at Country Roads, and all the variety, and all the great vignettes and displays, then I truly understand why we stay busy. I've got an awesome Country Roads family that works really hard to make this all happen! I just want to say thank you to all of you that continue to shop with us. Also, speaking of "thank yous", I just want to let Kathleen know how appreciative I am for putting together "White Wednesday"!
