Vintage Halloween

Above is one of my most favorite cupboards in my home. It's an old, vintage stepback cabinet with original paint and original glass. I love it, always have. It is filled with all of my old vintage Halloween stuff! Yep, I keep it there year round. The old vintage jack-o-lanterns are getting harder and harder to find. You don't see them as often as you use to. Below are a few pictures of what my favorite old cupboard is filled with!

It is amazing to me that Halloween merchandise and decor sells almost as much, if not more than Christmas. I love when customers buy antique pieces that they are going to use in their homes for Halloween displays. Our weather was super hot last week. And this morning, my office window is open and I can feel the cool ocean breezes blowing our way. It is so nice! Stop by and see us this week-end. Country Roads has some great new displays up, and as always, I'm sure you can't leave empty handed! Take care.

  1. I knew I liked you for a reason, lol
I am dying right now looking at your collection!!!
Mine has downsized thru out the years and the super antique stuff that I had stored in my moms basement mysteriously disappeared I had found back in the 90's 2 full face with inserts and all 1930s jack o lanterns
I paid 99 cents each for them at a thrift shop
I thought I was dreaming. They were in perfect condition. When I got invited to go on the antiques road show I went to have my mom send them to me and they were gone.
I can never replace them, unless I want to spend 230 dollars each.
So keep a lock on that cabinet, LOL!

  3. That's one impressive collection, Sue. And at the prices they sell these days, you might have your retirement right there inside your cabinet! LOL!!

  4. Hi Sue, Great collection of vintage Halloween goodies. I was so happy to see them. We have the same bad habit of keeping them up all year in a store display cabinet. I just luv the faces and expressions on the antique jack o laterns and the cats. Thanks for sharing your cool collection....Julian

  6. You and Jenn would be best friends in a heartbeat. She loves the vintage Halloween and I always try and get her something for her birthday. Her collection isn't nearly as impressive as yours...but give her time...she's young! She keeps it out all year too and I always smile when I see it. Makes me feel like a kid again. BTW...that cupboard is wonderful and the perfect display for the orange of your collection.

  7. I love, love...double love...no, triple love...vintage Halloween! Some of those things just might disappear from your cabinet one night when you have had one too many Coronas! :)

  9. Wow! That is an impressive collection of Vintage Halloween Jack=o-Lanterns! I have more of a "virtual" vintage Halloween collection. I take all sorts of nifty old Halloween books and magazines (a lot of Dennison stuff) and post them online at VintageHalloweenIdeas.com
    Take a look - I'm sure you'll find something you'll enjoy there.
