Our CR Customers Are Awesome!

For all the horror stories you hear about some of our customers at Country Roads (which btw are all true), we DO have many, many CR customers that just rock! They make being beat up verbally by some jerk all worthwhile when they say or do such kind things for us. Over the week-end, one of our customers bought a dresser. Bryce was scheduled to do the delivery last night. The customer lives in Korea Town up in LA. And for those of you that know what our traffic is like here, it is no easy task to get to LA, especially during this time of day. Of course, my boy Bryce, feels that he can freely drive in the carpool lane because you can see Morgan's car seat in his truck. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a ticket yet, which is not cheap! I'm guessing he has a "Baby Alive" doll or something in her car seat as a decoy and I don't even want to know!! You have no idea while I'm sitting in bumper to bumper traffic trying to get home after work, and there goes my boy Bryce speeding by in the carpool lane. And after I arrive home, he will sarcastically say, "what took you so long". Yep, ha-ha! I believe our customers name that bought the dresser is Gwen. What a sweetheart she is. Bryce brought the dresser into her home, and she was so excited. She had bought the dresser on Saturday and called a couple of times on Sunday to see if Bryce could deliver it that day. She was just excited to get the dresser. Before Bryce left last night she offered several times to make him dinner. She knew what a drive he had with the traffic the way it is both ways to her home. I was so touched by her thoughtfulness. Bryce declined because he really didn't have the time to stay. So our wonderful customer made him a little snack bag to go back home! For all the horrific stories I tell about some of our customers that shop at Country Roads, there are many, many more that are just wonderful. Last week one of our customers, Kristen, dropped off a baby gift for Katie. And I can't even begin to tell you how many others ask how our new baby is doing. This is the part of having a business, a store such as Country Roads, that means the most to me! We have many, many customers that are just like family, and I always appreciate this. I know Mary, over at Boggieboard Cottage is waiting for me to write a post about all the crazy things the "other" kinds of customers do! I'm working at it since the list is too long to put on a blog, I have to condense it first! Again, thank you Gwen for the kindness you gave my son, it's appreciated!

okay first the story about Bryce and the carpool lane is too funny!!
But I have to agree that traffic is ridiculous out there. Don't blame him.
and second, aww what a sweet post about your good customers. There are a few decent people left in the world that know how to treat others and who are thankful for those that go the extra mile, no pun intended, for them.
Now how much for him to deliver to Vegas, LOL

How nice she was, but I understand why she was so grateful - my son just moved out of the Koreatown area this spring. Just the traffic surrounding that part of LA can be daunting! And I understand why YOU don't go up there very often.

Heehee! I DO love your crazy customer stories, they're sooo funny, although maybe not so much at the time they happen! It's nice to know that you've got mostly nice customers to make up for it. Mary :O)

What a sweetheart! I think the trick is that you and your family make your customers feel like they are part of the CR Family!
